Norman Park Senior Center is a multi-generational community facility providing programs and services for all ages.
The center offers educational and health classes, social activities, creative writing, exercise programs, yoga, line, round, square and ballroom dancing, craft classes, quilting, watercolors, computer classes, bridge, as well as a number of special events.
The center is home to many special interest groups as well. The game room provides an area for billiards and shuffleboard. Currently, over 40 seniors volunteer at Norman Park.
History
Norman Park was at one time the former site of the Chula Vista Library, and was named after Chet Norman, the City’s first park supervisor. Norman Park Center for Senior Citizens was built in 1963.
For seniors’ enjoyment, Norman Park Senior Center offers an exciting array of educational courses, health programs, exercise, dancing and special events. Classes and special interest groups include but are not limited to singing; yoga; creative writing; tai chi; line, and ballroom dancing; painting; watercolors; and bridge. Many classes have open enrollment and do not require advance registration.
Norman Park Senior Center also has a fitness center with treadmills, elliptical cross trainer, rower, stationery bicycles, weights mats, balls and more. A free orientation is suggested before joining. For current fitness hours, please click on the newsletter link below.

Monday-Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturdays: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
Sundays (closed; available for rentals)
Rooms in the Center are also available to be rented by public and private organizations for parties, meetings and other functions. RENTAL FEES
